Eyemouth Harbour Trust moves forward with development of Masterplan Proposals

Eyemouth Harbour Trust will host a series of public exhibition events in June, giving local residents and stakeholders the opportunity to view and discuss emerging proposals for the future of the harbour.

The public exhibitions will take place at Eyemouth Community Centre from 10 to 12 June 2026 as part of ongoing engagement on the Harbour Masterplan, which was launched in August 2025.

On Wednesday 10 June, three presentation sessions will be held at 10.00am, 2.00pm and 6.00pm, with the project team providing an overview of the Masterplan. Each session will conclude with an open question and answer session.

Drop-in sessions will then take place on Thursday 11 June and Friday 12 June, giving people the opportunity to view information about how the Masterplan proposals are progressing, ask questions and provide feedback.

Everyone is welcome to attend any of the sessions which are being held at Eyemouth Community Centre, Albert Road, Eyemouth, TD14 5DE at the following times.

Presentation sessions are scheduled at:

Wednesday 10th June

10.00am -12.00pm

2.00pm-4.00pm

6.00pm-8.00pm

Drop ins are open:

Thursday 11th June between 10.00am and 2.00pm and 4.00pm and 7.00pm

Friday 12th June between 10.00am and 4.00pm

Those attending will be able to explore the latest development work, including potential approaches to strengthening the harbour’s long-term resilience and supporting future economic activity.  There will be an opportunity to speak with the project team, ask questions, and provide feedback, which is essential in shaping how the harbour responds to coastal pressures while continuing to support local businesses, jobs, and the wider community.  The feedback gathered will help inform further evaluation as part of the Outline Business Case and play an important role in shaping future decisions.

Christine Bell, Chief Executive of Eyemouth Harbour Trust, said: “Community engagement is an essential part of this process. These exhibitions provide an opportunity for people to see the work that has been undertaken to date and to speak directly with those developing the proposals. We want to ensure that local knowledge and perspectives help inform the next stage of the Masterplan.”
