Eyemouth Harbour Trust was delighted to host a delegation from the Scottish Development International (SDI) at Eyemouth Golf Club for an informative and engaging session focused on how the Eyemouth Harbour development can drive regional development, investment opportunities, and the growing role of Harbour in the Scottish Blue Economy.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the harbour’s ongoing development projects, strategic ambitions, and its importance as a key asset for the local economy. Representatives from Eyemouth Harbour Trust, South of Scotland Enterprise and Scottish Borders Council highlighted recent investments in infrastructure, the harbour’s support for the fishing and maritime sectors, and the opportunities emerging from the rapidly expanding offshore renewable energy industry.
Hosting the event at Eyemouth Golf Club provided an excellent setting for constructive conversations and networking, allowing delegates to gain a greater understanding of the area’s strengths, ambitions, and unique coastal environment with amazing views of the harbour and bay. It also gave a chance for our visitors to see how the Harbour is evolving and the current operations using our facilities.
