An apprenticeship opportunity has arisen at Eyemouth Harbour for an enthusiastic individual interested in developing a career in ports and maritime sector.
Eyemouth Harbour are looking for a Port Operations Apprentice. The role is an interesting and varied one and will cover a wide range of duties, including working outdoors and manual labour. Assisting the Harbour Master and marine operations team in the day-to-day operations of Eyemouth Harbour and delivery of a preventative maintenance schedule, you will be a vital member of the team, whilst learning new, key skills under the SQA apprenticeship programme. You will also welcome harbour users to the port and carry out general maintenance and operational duties as required. The role will involve use of a forklift.
No prior experience is necessary as relevant training will be given. However, the post will be suited to those who have a genuine interest in marine activities and working outdoors.
